Bringing Book Characters to Life at Ramona STEM Academy

At Ramona STEM Academy, students engaged in a creative project to prepare for World Read Aloud Day by bringing their favorite book characters to life. They began by designing their chosen characters using Google Drawing, where they could explore their artistic skills and express their interpretations of the characters from the books they love. This digital creation process allowed students to think critically about the traits and features that make their characters unique. After finalizing their designs, students transitioned their creations into the world of Minecraft, where they could build and interact with their characters in an immersive environment. This innovative approach not only enhanced their understanding of literary characters but also fostered collaboration and creativity among peers, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
